Our Team

Dr. Ted Andrews is trained as both a pediatric psychologist and pediatrician.  He completed his Ph.D. at The Ohio State University (‘93) in Psychology with an emphasis on Behavioral Pediatrics and a post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine/Children‘s Seashore House (’95).  He practiced as a Pediatric Psychologist for 10 years before entering medical school at St. George’s University where he graduated with an MD (‘08). He completed his medical residency in Pediatrics at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  He has over thirty years of professional experience specializing in developmental disabilities. Dr. Andrews evaluates and treats children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental and behavioral difficulties including:

  • Learning disorders and other school-related learning problems
  • Attention and behavioral disorders
  • Tics, Tourette syndrome, and other habit disorders
  • Regulatory disorders including sleep disorders, feeding problems, discipline difficulties, complicated toilet-training issues, enuresis (bedwetting), and encopresis (soiling)
  • Developmental disabilities including Down syndrome, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and visual and hearing impairment
  • Behavioral and developmental problems complicating the full range of pediatric chronic illnesses and disabling conditions (for example, genetic disorders, epilepsy, prematurity, diabetes, asthma, cancer).

Prior to returning to the field of developmental and behavioral pediatrics, Dr. Andrews spent five years as a pediatric hospitalist and second attending in the Emergency Department at the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital.  He began his medical career as a pediatric hospitalist for Catholic Health at Mercy South Buffalo Hospital.


Dr. Alissa Schiske completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Medaille University (’22) with an emphasis in child and adolescent psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Oishei Children’s Hospital/Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as a member of the psychosocial team in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program. Dr. Schiske completed her post-doctoral experience at a private practice in Buffalo, providing assessment and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults in Western New York.

She has experience working with children, young adults, and families in a variety of settings. Dr. Schiske specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties including:

  • Learning disorders and other school-related learning problems
  • Attention and behavioral disorders
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Anxiety and related disorders
  • Depressive disorders and behavioral
  • Emotional concerns related to chronic illness.
  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) 

Alyssa Harrington, MPAS PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant and a recent graduate of Daemen University’s dual BS/MS Physician Assistant Program. She completed two of her clinical rotations in our office under the supervision of Dr. Andrews, where she discovered her passion for developmental and behavioral pediatrics.

During her clinical training, Alyssa also gained valuable experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and General Pediatrics, along with rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Mental Health, and Women’s Health.

In addition to her work in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, Alyssa currently serves part-time as a general pediatric PA at our Century-Airport Pediatrics office.


Dr. Emily Fields is a New York State licensed psychologist with specialized training in child psychology and pediatric neuropsychology. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago through an APA-accredited program. Dr. Fields completed her doctoral internship with the Northeastern Oklahoma Psychology Internship Program and went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the University at Buffalo’s Department of Neurology. She began her professional career at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo (now Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo), where she worked in multidisciplinary pediatric medical settings and developed a strong foundation in comprehensive assessment. Dr. Fields is currently pursuing board certification in pediatric neuropsychology. 

Dr. Fields specializes in comprehensive psychological, developmental, and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. Her clinical work is focused on evaluation, with the goal of helping families better understand a child’s strengths, challenges, and learning or behavioral needs. She places a strong emphasis on clear communication and practical, individualized recommendations that can be used at home, in school, and in collaboration with other providers.

Dr. Fields has experience evaluating a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Cognitive and behavioral effects of medical or neurological conditions
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and executive functioning challenges
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Anxiety and mood concerns
  • Learning disorders and school-related learning difficulties 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Fields is actively involved in the training and supervision of graduate students, psychology interns, and postdoctoral fellows. She values a thoughtful, developmentally informed, and evidence-based approach and works collaboratively with families and professionals to support each child’s long-term success.


Dr. Swapna Rao earned her doctorate from the University at Buffalo’s Combined School and Counseling Psychology program (‘25). She completed her doctoral internship at Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. She has experience working with youth and families from diverse backgrounds in settings such as outpatient hospitals, partial hospitals, youth with severe emotional and behavioral challenges at Residential Treatment Facilities (RTF), school-based outpatient programs (SBOP), along with consultations with family, school, care coordinators, psychiatry, and healthcare providers for cases needing medication management.

Dr. Rao specializes in evaluating and treating children, youth (ages 3-23years), and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and nationalities with a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges; with advanced training in trauma-focused treatment/therapy. She is currently completing her Postdoctoral Fellowship at OLV Human Services.

Dr. Rao provides psychological evaluations and treatments related to:

  • Learning Disorders, Attentional Disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Disruptive Behavior Disorders (Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder) through individual and family therapy emphasizing parent/caregiver skills training.
  • Child and adolescent trauma-focused therapy for PTSD symptoms (anxiety, depression, avoidance, emotional dysregulation).
  • Child, adolescent, and caregiver training for adjustment disorders stemming from loss, separation/divorce, family crisis.

Lisa Reda, MA, BCBA, LBA is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst licensed in New York State. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Buffalo State College and her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Change from Medaille University. She later completed a post-master’s Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis at Daemen University.

Lisa brings more than 20 years of experience in organizational behavior management across the educational continuum, from preschool through higher education. She currently coordinates Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services across clinical, school, and in-home settings.

Lisa is dedicated to integrating the principles of Trauma-Informed Care with Applied Behavior Analysis to optimize meaningful, client-centered outcomes.


Sarah Price, PC-A is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant with more than 20 years of diverse clinical experience. A graduate of the Daemen College Physician Assistant Program (2000), Sarah has built a well-rounded career spanning Family Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetics, and Urology.

Her broad background allows her to approach patient care with both clinical depth and a comprehensive understanding of individual needs. Sarah is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while drawing from her extensive experience across specialties.

Outside of her professional life, she is a proud mother of five and grandmother to two beautiful granddaughters.
